Graduated Flasks
A volumetric flask is an instrument used to keep the volume of liquid constant. A graduated cylinder is a similar instrument, but a graduated flask is more accurate. The body part is cylindrical and the bottom is spherical, and the long neck opening can be sealed with a stopper. Volumetric flasks are mainly made of glass, but some are made of resin or plastic. Use a transparent brown volumetric flask when handling materials that require light shielding. Some types have a thick neck and are easy to operate pipettes and solutes.
